Npq early years leadership
NPQEYL programme is for leaders qualified to at least level 3 with a full and relevant qualification who are, or are aspiring to be:
- managers of private, voluntary and independent nurseries
- headteachers of school-based or maintained nurseries
- childminders with leadership responsibilities (you work with, employ or are close to employing an assistant).
The course is over five terms, (18 months delivery and 3 months for assessment), comprising a series of modules with a formative assessment at the end of each module. There is a practical element where you will be required to demonstrate your learning through implementation of a strategic improvement focused on your context and pupils.
Objectives
The programme:
- helps establish and sustain your organisation’s strategic direction, and helps create an effective culture
- builds valuable connections with other leaders across Early Years settings
