NPQ Leading teaching development
Aimed at colleagues with at least 3 years teaching experience, the NPQLTD gives participants all the essential knowledge, skills and concepts that underpin successful leadership of teaching.
The course is usually completed within 12 months with a summative assessment at its conclusion. This is a blended delivery model comprising 3 face to face events, online study, webinars and coaching. Eligibility is subject to evidencing support from your Headteacher to release you to undertake the course and related work.
Objectives
The programme:
- helps colleagues to become adept in supporting ITT training, ECTs and the wider of development of colleagues across the school
- develops expertise across a number of specialist areas e.g designing professional development)
- reviews and evaluates practice to achieve best outcomes for staff and young people
- helps make evidence based decisions and approach leading teacher development in an effective and efficient manner
